Anyway, IB and I like to travel, and celebrations like anniversaries are just another excuse for us to do so. For most of our anniversaries, we've made a trip up to Niagara Falls and this year was no exception. We left on a Tuesday and came home Friday - plenty of time to see the sites, play indoor glow-in-the-dark mini golf, drink a lot, and spend a day in wine country! Here are some pics for your enjoyment.
The real reason we go up there though is to visit our favorite bar on earth (at least to date!), Jack's. Jack's is a hole-in-the-wall local joint where the owners remember us (even though we're only there once a year!), the beer is cheap, and the people are friendly. We spend every night hanging out there, and we are never disappointed. This year, especially, since on Wednesday night it was just me, IB, the 2 bartenders, and a group if firemen that didn't have to work on Thursday. IB and I spent maybe $40 there that night, but we drank from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. and were drunk like we haven't been since college. Between the firemen buying our beers, and the bartenders buying our shots, we barely spent anything. The evening ended with a dance party where we rocked out to old school Spice Girls, followed by a trip to Burger King where I have no fucking clue how the guy understood anything we said to him, and concluding with what I apparently thought would be really funny in the middle of Clifton Hill at 4 in the morning. As you can probably see, we absolutely, fucking love Jack's!
